Spring into Confidence With Breast Augmentation
There is no better time than spring for breast augmentation! You can enjoy the warmer weather while you recover and show off your new curves during the heart of summer. But what occurs during breast augmentation, and what can you expect during the process? Let’s take a look at this transformative journey that will not only enhance your physical appearance but also give your confidence a natural boost.
Starting Your Journey Toward A More Confident You
If you decide breast augmentation is right for you, the next step is a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Hetal Fichadia. Dr. Fichadia will ensure you feel listened to and understood and will address all your questions and concerns. She’ll also ask about your medical history and your goals. We want you to have all the information you need to make the right decision for you. From there, she’ll make a customized treatment plan that will give you the results you’re looking for.
The Prep Phase
Preparation for your breast augmentation is just as important as the surgery itself. During the weeks leading up to the surgery, you’ll want to quit smoking if you’re a smoker, stop taking certain medications like blood thinners and NSAIDs, avoid alcohol, and the night before surgery, avoid eating or drinking to ensure there are no complications with anesthesia.
The Breast Augmentation Surgery
What occurs during your breast augmentation will depend on the decisions you make with Dr. Fichadia during your consultation. The type of implants used, where they are placed, and the incision type will all be discussed during your consult.
On the day of surgery, we’ll administer general anesthesia. From there, Dr. Fichadia will make the appropriate incisions, place the implant above or below the pectoral muscle, and close your incisions. Then, you’ll be ready to start your recovery.
Recovery
The full recovery process typically takes about 4-6 weeks. At the beginning of your recovery, you’ll want to rest as much as possible and wear the compression bra we provide. You will have some swelling, bruising, and discomfort. The compression garment will help with the swelling and bruising, and we’ll prescribe pain medication to ease any discomfort. You’ll need to limit your movement for the first few weeks to ensure you heal properly.
After two weeks, you will be able to return to work, but you will still want to limit your level of strenuous activity.
You will see some results immediately, but your final results will take several months to show up as your implants settle into place.
